Arbsolve interpret court precedents, statute legislation, and best practice that are applicable for individuals who are responsible for the safety of trees. Arbsolve will assess your trees and their environment, then provide advice and detailed management processes in a report format which will fulfil your ‘duty of care’ as the owner.
Elimination of risk for tree hazards is not possible (unless we remove all trees!), however, with a measured approach Arbsolve can help you bring risks to a level that are ‘as low as reasonably practicable’ (ALARP).
The process for Visual Tree Assessment (VTA) of tree safety is as follows.
- Visual inspection for diagnostic symptoms of defects and visual inspection of the tree’s vitality. No further steps are taken when there are no indications that the tree presents a significant hazard.
- Thorough examination of any defects which have been indicated in step 1.
- Measurement and analysis of defects which turn out to be critical, including evaluation of the tree’s residual strength.
Arbsolve currently employ the QTRA method of estimating the risk from hazards.
